Business Unit Product Designers at HRS are learning pioneers, continually seeking to improve processes, products, commercial models, technologies, and ways of working. They take ownership of the entire customer experience, seeking truth and committing to decisions once they are made. To succeed in the role, candidates must possess strong business and technical know- how, prioritize tasks accurately, and have excellent communication skills. They must also have an up- to- date knowledge of the latest trends and technologies and be comfortable presenting their ideas to internal stakeholders. The teams in the Product Management department at HRS own the program backlog, define product increments and releases, and are responsible for the product vision, roadmap, pricing, licensing, and ROI. They have strong business and technical knowledge and excellent communication and prioritization skills. The department operates based on HRS&039; leadership principles, putting the customer view first and striving for customer success over commercial success. They think and act big, challenging the status quo, and constantly leaving their comfort zones to achieve growth. As coaches, they hire the ones most likely to win and help develop team members to become the best through radical candid feedback. HRS&039; Product Management department is a critical function in driving the success of the company&039;s Lodging- as- a- Service (LaaS), Meeting- as- a- Service (MaaS) and Workforce- as- a- Service (WaaS) platform offerings. The department collaborates with cross- functional teams to define the product vision, roadmap, and strategy, and prioritizes features using analytics and data to meet business goals and deliver an exceptional experience for stakeholders.

Position You’ll partner closely with product managers, engineers, marketers, and sales teams to turn insights into powerful, user- centred products. You will be at the forefront of tackling the usability risk- ensuring our products not only work but are intuitive, efficient, and impactful for customers. Through close collaboration, strategic design, and user- driven insights, you will help shape products that deliver measurable value to both users and the business. As a key member of our Travel Tech team, you’ll design intuitive, seamless experiences that serve the diverse needs of corporate travellers, travel agents, and meeting planners. From web tools to APIs, you&039;ll craft solutions that simplify complex journeys and scale globally.
Challenge
Usability Ownership: Focus on eliminating friction points in the user journey, ensuring designs solve real problems and meet user expectations with clarity and ease of use. Iterative Delivery: Collaborate closely with engineers during implementation, ensuring design quality and consistency throughout the Delivery process. Ensure that the implementation is measurable and that iteration only stops if the defined goal is achieved. Design System Contribution: Enhance and maintain our proprietary Design System to ensure consistency and scalability across all platforms. Continuous User Research: Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research activities—such as user interviews, contextual inquiries, workshops, and usability tests—to uncover actionable insights. Strategic Design Execution: Translate research findings into interactive prototypes and pixel- perfect designs, ensuring usability and simplicity even for complex workflows, and initiating change initiatives through narrative document analysis (we use Amazon 6- pager method). Discovery & Hypothesis Validation: Partner with the two other roles of the Product Trio to identify customer problems, explore potential solutions, and validate hypotheses through user research and rapid prototyping.
Your work will directly shape an intuitive platform for booking workspaces, meeting rooms, and accommodations, improving the experience for business travelers and corporate bookers while seamlessly integrating with third- party applications.

A passion for agile product development and a clear understanding of modern Discovery and Delivery practices. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in the English language, with the ability to advocate for usability and align diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in design tools and research platforms like Figma, Miro, Dovetail, and User Interviews. A collaborative mindset, thriving as part of the Product Trio (PM, Designer, Engineer) to ensure product success. Experience in user- centered research methods and translating insights into actionable design solutions. 4+ years of experience in product design (B2B/B2C), simplifying complex processes into intuitive, user- friendly interfaces. Strong expertise in usability testing and addressing usability risk through hypothesis- driven design and continuous iteration, with a data focused way of working.
