We&039;re looking for a highly skilled and innovative Senior Backend to join our AI- driven startup. In this pivotal role, you&039;ll take ownership of building and optimising our backend systems, integrating LLM APIs, and ensuring a seamless user experience. Debug complex technical issues across frontend, backend, and LLM interactions Develop, optimise, and maintain our architectural improvements for scalability and complex features Implement prompt chaining and refining techniques to improve chatbot accuracy Fine- tune LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) to enhance chatbot functionality Automate repetitive tasks, improve CI/CD pipelines, and enhance development efficiency Work closely with the team to experiment with new AI tools and APIs (like DeepSeek) Ensure system scalability and performance as the company grows

The candidate should have 5–7 years of experience in a similar position. TECHNICAL MUST HAVE:
Expert- level Python development experience with intermediate React Front- end experience, with a strong understanding of async programming and API design Previous experience scaling chatbots with multiple agents Proven experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) developing advanced, non- trivial chatbots that go beyond simple LLM API calls, incorporating complex function calling, multi- step workflows, and dynamic tool integrations. In particular: Good record with latency reduction Good record with LLM fine- tuning experience to optimise chatbot responses accuracy Strong debugging skills. Good experience with LangSmith for debugging and optimising chatbot interactions, including how to optimise function- calling workflows in LLM- based applications You should be able to debug an issue by understanding its context and investigate multiple pieces such as LLM APIs, frontEnd and Backend to come up with the solution Ability to think from a user&039;s perspective, beyond just engineering tasks Have a sense of ownership and willingness to evaluate and experiment with cutting- edge GenAI tools for improved development workflows (trying out new DeepSeek APIs in our product sounds exciting to you? This is the job for you) Experience integrating eCommerce APIs (Shopify, Wix, BigCommerce) Experience working with MongoDB for chatbot memory and data storage

NICE TO HAVE:
Previous exposure to modular testing and CI/CD (Love to reduce repetitive efforts with automation? Yes!) Get professional license to use GenAI tools such as Cursor for development. Experience scaling backend systems for high traffic loads Familiarity with retrieval- augmented generation (RAG) techniques for private dataset querying
